Evan Lee received a MFA from University of British Columbia in 2000. Evan is known for his work with photography but he is increasingly expanding into many different media and subjects beyond his previous works of still life, portraiture, and landscape photography. He has been in exhibitions such as “Again and Again and Again” at the Vancouver Art Gallery and “Ruptures in Arrival: Art in the Wake of Komagata Maru” at the Surrey Art Gallery. He also recently had a solo exhibition at the Richmond Art Gallery titled “Elders and Roots.” Lee is shortlisted for the 2014 Sobey Art Award and will be exhibiting with the other finalists at the Winnipeg Art Gallery in the fall.
